Plugable Desktop to Tablet Switchout?

Hi,

I have a desktop computer at home and a surface pro at work. I purchased a second monitor for at home and the plugable superspeed usb 3.0 dual monitor docking station. I want to hook my desktop up through the plugable so that when I bring my surface pro home and need to work from home I can easily switch out my display, mouse and keyboard without moving all the cables. Does the plugable make this possible?

In theory this combination of docking station -> http://plugable.com/products/ud-3900 should work. Please keep in mind that the docking station needs the current DisplayLink driver to function (http://www.displaylink.com/downloads + http://support.displaylink.com/knowle…).
