I’ve changed cables and switch monitors but for some reason, there is always on lg monitor that flickers on and off. The same monitors do not flicker on and off when connected directly or to other systems.
Hi there,
Welcome to the community! I am sorry to hear about the monitor disconnects.
The UD-3900C4 dock is a “hybrid” device, meaning it uses two different technologies to drive its four HDMI ports:
- HDMI 1 & 2: Use DisplayLink technology (software- and driver-driven).
- HDMI 3 & 4: Use DisplayPort Alt Mode (driven directly by your computer’s hardware). Limited to a single display on macOS, as Apple does not support MST.
It would be helpful to know which port the display that is disconnecting is connected to, as this would help us better determine what to focus on.
It would also be helpful to review your system logs to determine if the docking station is enumerating correctly and to double-check your drivers.
If you don’t mind, please email our direct support email address ( support@plugable.com) with “For ticket # 488327” in the subject line. In the email, please include the following information:
-
Please provide the Amazon Order ID number for your Plugable product purchase.
For your reference, an Amazon Order ID number has seventeen digits (separated by two dashes), and typically, that information can be found here → https://amazon.com/orders -
Can you please keep the docking station connected to your computer (even if it is not working as expected) and send us the output of our diagnostic utility PlugDebug? → https://plugable.com/pages/plugdebug
This will allow me to examine log files from your computer and help determine the next steps.
Please do not post the above information here in our public forum (it contains personally identifiable information)
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
Thank you,
Adi
