One HDMI monitor randomly turns off and on

I have two monitors attached to the HDMI ports using a new Dell XPS 13. Whichever monitor is connected to the upper HDMI port of the hub turns off and on randomly and continuously. I’m using the Plugable power supply and supplied thunderbolt cable.

Thank you for contacting Plugable support! Sorry to hear about this issue. I’d be more than happy to assist you.

Since both monitors are doing this on the same port HDMI port but not the other, it could indicate an issue with the dock itself. We may need to try replacing the dock under warranty and see if the behavior improves.

Just to check, are they both the same model monitor or different models?

Thank you. The two monitors are identical. I tried a third monitor (different brand) and got the same behavior.
