How do I transfer “programs” like Norton to new computer, or do I have to contact them to download the program. I already own it on old computer.

Thanks for reaching out to us, I’d be more than happy to answer your question regarding your Plugable Easy Transfer Cable.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to transfer installed programs from an old computer to a new computer using the transfer cable. The reason for this is that, the installation process of a program installs files that are unique to the operating system, applies certain file associations, and sets various registry keys. These type of changes are very difficult to simply transplant to another computer, it is better to reinstall the software on the new computer.
