I’ve got a Toshiba Satelite P505-S8011 that is 2 1/2 years old. The specs says it has “NVIDIA
®
GeForce
®
310M with 512MB GDDR3 discrete graphics
memory, plus up to 1758MB dynamically allocated shared graphics
memory using NVIDIA
®
TurboCacheTM technology.”
I am using a brand new Dell S2330MX 23" LCD monitor. I have the USB3-HDMI-DVI plugged in between a HDMI leading to a HDMI/DVI adapter on my monitor and a USB3 cord going to my laptop (which has a USB3 superspeed plug on it).
Problem: The monitor has not responded to anything I do. Also, the Displaylink Icon has never appeared in the system tray.
What I’ve tried: -checking all the connections. -Making sure monitor is in DVI mode (The DVI/HDMI converter came with the monitor). -Installed newest driver from DisplayLink website. -Rebooted. -Uninstalled software and reinstalled software from the mini-disk provided with the USB3-HDMI-DVI. -Rebooted.
Still nothing.
The only thing… I accidentally left the USB 3.0 plugged in during initial installation.
Also, the 2nd monitor DID come up for about 1 minute and went back down. Now I’m unable to get it to come back up.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
