External display connected via Plugable VGA adapter showing max resolution at 1360 x 763 instead of 1920 x 1080. Suggestions for fixing this?

Hello Lisa,

Sorry to hear about this issue. Can you tell me what model monitor you have?

Thank you,

Thanks! My monitor is a Dell W2306C. With a previous computer with sufficient display ports, it was showing at full resolution.

Thanks for the information.

Looking at the documentation from Dell, the monitor says it only supports 1366x768 over the DVI and VGA ports.

If you were able to get a higher resolution than that before, it’s possible the computer it was connected to before as able to “overdrive” the monitor at a higher resolution than the monitor claims it supports. Our graphics adapters do not have this ability.

Sorry!
Josh
