Hi Eberhard,

Thanks for contacting us! We’re sorry to hear that your Netgear AC1200 WiFi Adapter isn’t being recognized through your USB3-Hub7-81X.

Here are a few things we can double check to get to the bottom of this issue if you haven’t tried them already:

  1. Try plugging the WiFi Adapter directly into a USB port on your computer to see if it’s recognized then.

  2. Try plugging the WiFi Adapter into a different port on the hub that is known to be working with another USB device to see if there’s an issue with one of the ports.

  3. Try performing a full hub reset by following these steps:

a) Fully unplug the hub from all devices, power, and USB cable to the host computer.
b) Reconnect the power cable first, USB host cable next, and USB devices last.

Another thing to note is that if you’re trying to connect to 1.2 gigahertz WiFi, most WiFi adapter manufacturers recommend plugging the adapter directly into your computer for best results.

Please let us know if the hub’s behavior changes at all after trying those steps. We’re happy to help you through the troubleshooting process further if needed.

Thank You,

Amanda
