my transfer keeps stopping half way through

i start the transfer and it goes about half way and then looses connection. I try to start from where it left off but have to start over from the beginning then it does the same thing all over again…

Thanks for posting. We’ll be able to help.

With a problem mid-transfer, I would suspect USB bus power issues or some other low-level problem. A couple suggestions and questions:

* What make, model, and OS machine are you transferring from? and to?
* If one of them is a USB 3.0 port, please let us know (and try a USB 2.0 port only if possible). If you only have USB 3.0 ports, it may be a USB 3.0 host controller driver that needs updating
* Insufficient USB bus power is another potential cause. If you have an unpowered USB hub in the mix, try a direct connection without a hub (or switch to a powered hub).
