My plugable ud-5900 docking station is working great with my dual monitors, but my keyboard is not working. The receiver is plugged into one of the USB ports in the back of the docking station and device manager shows that it’s recognized. But typing on the keys does nothing. When the receiver is plugged directly into my laptop, all is good, keyboard works. Suggestions?
Just realized it might be the USB ports in back. I just tried to plug in a USB fingerprint scanner and it doesn’t get recognized at all. Windows doesn’t see that it has been plugged in. Could it be that I have 2 dead ports?
Hi Cory,
Thanks for posting! I’m sorry your docking station is not working as expected and I would be happy to help.
Thank you as well for letting me know that the USB fingerprint scanner is not working in the ports in the back of the unit. Just to confirm, does the USB fingerprint scanner work properly when connected to one of the two USB 3.0 ports on the front of the unit?
Assuming for the moment I have the details correct, the next step is to get some additional information. If you would, please keep everything connected and send the output of our diagnostic utility PlugDebug –> http://plugable.com/support/plugdebug to us directly at support@plugable.com with ‘For ticket 200237’ in the subject line. This will allow us to match everything up and examine some log files from your system to help determine the next steps.
** Please also include your Amazon Order ID number for the docking station purchase (available from Amazon.com/orders) and the device’s serial number from the bar code on the bottom of the unit in your direct email (please don’t post that in the forum). **
Thank you for giving us the chance to help!
