Monitor not displaying when laptop starts up

I have the UD-3000 docking station. In the morning when we start up the laptop, the monitor will come on for just a moment and then go blank even though the monitor power light is green. We need to cycle the power on the monitor multiple times to get it to come on. How do we get the monitor to come up when the laptop come up? We are connecting via VGA port.

This will give us a better insight as to what is going on and how to resolve it.

Does it matter when I run DisplayLink … should I run it upon startup just after the problem has occurred?
