Monitor configuration switches to "Show only on 2" after sleep when plugged into dock

I have a second monitor attached to the docking station via HDMI. I have the desktop extended to the second monitor. It used to work fine with Windows 10. I had to buy a new laptop with Windows 11. Now when the laptop sleeps or restarts, it forgets the monitor configuration and changes it from “Extend these displays” to “Show only on 2.” I unplugged the HDMI from the dock and plugged it straight into the laptop and this problem does not happen, so I believe it is a problem with the dock. The dock is plugged into the only USB port on the laptop: USB 3.0. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi David,

Thank you for contacting Plugable! I am sorry to hear that your docking station is not functioning as expected, and would be happy to provide additional support.

To help diagnose the issue, may I ask you to please keep the device connected to your laptop and everything still attached (even if not working as expected) and send us the output of our diagnostic utility PlugDebug? → https://plugable.com/pages/plugdebug

Once you have the logs, simply send an email to support@plugable.com with the subject line of “Ticket 403301” so that we can prioritize that case and match it to this inquiry.

If you could provide your Amazon Order ID (or other proof of purchase) associated with your Plugable device, I would be happy to check on your warranty status as well.

Thank you for giving us the chance to help!
