Limited Resolution for UD-3900

I have a Windows Surface Pro 2 and a Plugable UD-3900 hooked up to two Dell P2210 monitors. The resolution that I have always used on these monitors was 1920x 1080. The native resolution for the monitors is actually 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz. With this docking station, Windows is limiting the resolution to 1680 x 1050. Can you tell me why the limitation? This UD-3900 should be able to support much higher resolutions. how can I fix this problem?

Hi Jason,

Thanks for getting in contact with us. I’d be more than happy to help you with your Plugable UD-3900. In order to better assist you, I’ll need a bit of additional information.

Could you please provide the logs produced by our tool Plugdebug, you can find it here and then send them to me at support@plugable.com.

Once we have those logs, we’ll start trying to figure out what exactly is going on with your setup and why you are unable to get the full 1920 x 1080 resolution on your monitors.

The reason why you are unable to get a 1920 x 1080 on the Dell P2210 displays is that the maximum resolution that those monitors support is 1680 x 1050.
