Laptop screen to go off

UD-160-A, Toshiba Satellite L675, Viewsonic VX 2450, Windows 7

With monitor connected directly to Laptop and external monitor only selected, the laptop screen is completely off. With the monitor connected to the plugable dock, the same external monitor only mode selected, the laptop screen is dim with no visible images. How do I get the laptop screen to go completely off when docked?

Hi Ron,

Thanks for posting your question! The behavior you are seeing where the backlight in your laptop screen stay on when using the UD-160-A is normal. The Video card stays on even though Windows is sending all the graphics information to the USB Graphics Adapter.
