USB3-6950-DP USB 3.0 Dual DisplayPort 4K + Gigabit Ethernet Adapter
Is there any way to set the firmware to disable the Ethernet port? My company’s security people see it as a potential security risk.
I know how to disable it in Windows, I’m looking to disable it in the device so the driver doesn’t load the network service.
HP ZBook G2 i7 Win7-64 Enterprise
I found a potential partial solution, but it isn’t really what I’m looking for.

Hello Steve, thanks for posting! Unfortunately, there is not a way to physically disable the Ethernet port so Windows Update does not recognize it and automatically install the DisplayLink Ethernet Driver.
I am sorry that we can’t be of more help!
Thank you,
David W.
