my Bose speaker shows paired on pc, but will not connect and play. I had an DSL on an ATT modem and had no problems, but I have Hughes Net now and having the problem I mentioned above. Pc shows it has paired but bluetooth will not connect.

Actually, your modem should have nothing to do with your Bluetooth operation. That should be controlled in the computer.
Could you please answer a few questions that will help me understand the situation?
