when connecting my external harddisk with the plugable dock it disconnects occasionally. That can be even during processing a file onto that disk.
My assumption is that the power supplied might be not enough, can you affirm that?

To your question, in most similar cases the problem is the external drive drawing more power than the dock’s USB ports can provide. Unfortunately we don’t have any Transcend external hard drives in our test lab so we are unable to confirm.
