frustrated!!!

I have the plugable usb 2.0 Ethernet adapter. It says it works with the Wii but I can’t get it to work. It works on a computer but not the Wii. How do I fix this?

Hi Blake,

Sorry for the frustration. Here is some information that I hope will help solve the problem.

Using the Plugable 10/100 Ethernet adapter with the Wii requires changing your Wii’s networking settings. It’s not quite the plug-and-play experience that a PC provides.

To start, with your Wii’s power turned off, connect the Plugable 10/100 Ethernet adapter to an unused USB port on your Wii. Then connect an the adapter via an Ethernet cable to your router

Turn on your Wii’s power. The Wii won’t be connected yet to your wired Ethernet network. Wait for the Wii home screen to appear.

Now go to step No. 1 at the following website: http://www.home-network-help.com/wii-…. Follow the instructions through step No. 5.

If you were able to get through those steps without problems, is your Wii now connected to your wired Ethernet network?

If not, at which step on http://www.home-network-help.com/wii-… did your your experience diverge from the instructions?

Sorry again for the hassles you’ve faced so far. We want to get you up and running as soon as possible. Let us know how it goes.

Sincerely,

Aaron
