Issue with UGA-165 and Fedora Core 22 - it simply doesn’t work. xrandr shows it as a provider, dmesg shows the device being plugged in, but it does not show up as a display device. It worked ok-ish under Fedora 21. Any ideas?
Thank you for your message. I’m not in the office right now with my Fedora box, but I will do some investigation on this on Monday.
Generally, one thing that is sure about Linux, especially with USB display adapter support, what works in one release and distribution is very often broken in the next as things get upgraded piecemeal without necessarily ensuring functionality in areas that aren’t widely used. Generally, unless there is some very compelling reason to upgrade, I usually recommend staying with the version you know is working.
