Display problems VGA monitor and Plugable USB 2.0 docking station

I am attempting to use the Plugable USB 2.0 docking station with a new Asus Windows 7 laptop with an Intel coreI5 processor and 6GB memory. I am connecting a USB keyboard, USB mouse, network cable, sound cable and a VGA monitor. Everything connects fine initially but after a few minutes, the bottom half of the monitor goes black. The only way to get the display back seems to be to disconnect the laptop from the docking station and then reconnect.

Hi Bob,

Thanks for posting here! I’m sorry to know about the trouble you are having with the display on the external monitor connected through the graphics port on the Plugable Docking Station UD-160-A.

Could you run the DisplayLink support tool (instructions here: http://plugable.com/support/displayli… ) and email the resulting .zip to support@plugable.com along with your Amazon Order ID and a link to this thread?

This would give us a better insight as to what is going on. Once we analyze it, we can figure out the next steps.

Regards,
Roze
