second monitor, connected by the plugable is noticably darker. Have tried to adjust the monitor. Also tried Aero troubleshoot, but it didn’t find any thing.

  1. Which of our graphics adapters do you have?

  2. What type of connection are you using to the monitor?

  3. What’s the make and model of the monitor?

  4. What’s the operating system and version?

Hi Ck,

Thanks for the details about your setup. There’s a couple of things to look at regarding the brightness of your external display.

The first is to try using the automatic settings, if that doesn’t help can you turn up the brightness enough to get to the a desired level?

Let me know if you can get any improvement from the menu, and which settings you tried, and we’ll go from there.
