Do I need to use the cd that came with my usb 2.0 windows transfer cable even though I received email with a link to download driver software for the product? My old pc has vista home premium/32 bit and my new pc has windows 10/64 bit. Thanks.

Thank you for posting your question. The software online and on the CD are the same.
We provide the CD as a convenience for people who may not have an Internet connection, but if you have a connection, we recommend downloading the software from online in case there have been any updates since the CD was made.
