Hi Support, I have a Lenovo Ultrabook with only 1 USB 3 and one HDMI that I want to connect two 22 inch 1920 x 1200 monitors they are 8 years old and only have DVI and VGA inputs. What model (best available) should I use and or is this doable?
Hi Mark,
Thank you so much for reaching out to us, I would be happy to answer your questions!
Based on the specifications of the displays and the laptop, I think our UD-3900 (www.plugable.com/products/ud-3900) would be the best fit for your setup. It is a difficult step, as the UD-3900 allows two displays to be connected, 1 via HDMI and 1 via DVI. With your displays only support DVI and VGA, you would need to purchase an additional cable for converting DVI to HDMI, much like the one at this link -> https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Rankie-R…
The UD-3900 also has 2 front USB 3.0 ports, 4 rear USB 2.0 ports, an Ethernet connection, and both audio input and output.
I hope this information helps, please let me know if you have any other questions!
Thank you for your patience,
Marc
