In some ways it depends on what you plan to do with the adapter.
For most modern Linux distributions, the adapter should be plug-and-play. However, depending on the device that you’re planning to use, or how old the Linux distribution is, there may be other actions that need to take place such as updating the kernel, BlueZ, and/or PulseAudio.
• What Linux distribution version are you using?
• What manufacturer and model of Bluetooth device do you plan on pairing with?
