Assistance Please!

after installing WiFi adapter, I’m getting a message saying windows was unable to find a certificate to log me onto my network. Can anyone help?

  1. How were you connecting to your network prior to installing the WiFi adapter?
  2. Are you on a home or corporate network?
  3. What version of Windows does your computer have?

I was connecting via ethernet cable on my home network using windows XP before losing internet connection and not being able to reconnect this way.
