Is the button the only way to switch the Plugable USB 2.0 Switch? I had a unit (unknowen source) that could be switched with two rapid presses of the ctrl key.

Thanks for posting your question here! As the Plugable USB2-SWITCH2 is a mechanical switch, pressing the button is the only way to switch the downstream device between the two upstream computer systems. There are no other alternate ways available. Sorry about that!
