How do I achieve the specified max resolution snapshot resolution with 250x and the Mac Digital Viewer? I’m only able to take 640x480, not 1600x1200 as specified.
Hello Corey,
Thank you for posting. I’m sorry there have been issues with selecting the desired resolution for your microscope, and I would like to help.
To start, I would like to determine what resolution options are available in the settings. Please open Digital Viewer with the microscope connected, then select the grey gear icon in the upper-left. Please let me know what options are available in the “Resolution” drop down menu. I look forward to hearing back.

As you can see from the screenshot there are no resolution options. Under video options I can step down to 320x240, but I didn’t expect that to go higher than 640x480.
Hi Corey,
Thank you for the update and screenshot.
This indicates that the microscope isn’t being identified properly by the USB video drivers. I would like to determine what drivers have been associated with the microscope.
Could you please run our diagnostic program? This gathers information that will help me determine what is causing the problem. Please plug the microscope into your Mac, then go to this page and follow the instructions there:

Please email the file to us directly at support@plugable.com. The file contains information about the drivers and software installed on your computer, and is therefore unsuitable for posting on this public forum.
Another issue (at least in my case) is that the resolution doesn’t stick. Each time I start up the DV app the resolution is at 640x480 instead of the 1600x1200 I want to use.
