Why won’t my MacBook Air iOS 10.13.3 connect to the screen when using the us-3900 docking station?

I have installed, uninstalled and installed again the hardware for the ud-3900 on my MacBook Air (10.13.3), however my Mac will not display on the screen. Why will it not display on the docking station monitor?

Hello Carli, thanks for posting. Unfortunately, we do not recommend nor support our docking station with Mac systems. We do our best to mention this on the Amazon listing and product pages, but always looking for better ways to convey this important compatibility detail.

We offer a 30-day no hassle return policy and we’d be happy to assist with the return process. Please just respond to this post at your convenience and we can reach out to you directly in order to facilitate this process and send you a pre-paid return label to send the dock back to us.

Thank you,

Why would you have the hardware to install for a Mac if it isn’t supported? It gives instructions on your website and in the instruction guide on downloading the hardware for a Mac. If you don’t support it, you shouldn’t have that on your website.

Hello Carli, thanks for the reply. We have other products that do work with macOS and while we do not officially support macOS on our USB 3.0 docking stations like the UD-3900, we do realize that some customers have purchase and deploy them for this use case. The only thing I can advise from a troubleshooting perspective is to make sure that macOS Gatekeeper is not blocking the DisplayLink application from loading. We have a blog post that speaks to this here –> https://plugable.com/2017/10/27/how-t….

Otherwise, we can only assist with a return for full refund.

Thank you,
