USB3-HUB7-81X ports disconnect and connect randomly

Hello plubable support,

I’ve ordered this USB 3.0 7-Port Hub to effectively manage media and data files stored on 4-6 portable and 1-2 flash drives. For the past 3 days, I connect 3-4 devices to the hub for files transferring but connections get dropped and reconnected randomly during the process. Each incident caused black background display and I couldn’t successfully eject each device. One time I tried to just shut down my computer but I ended up having to use hard reset to turn off my OS. At first I just wanted to return this item but would rather like to try any solution that you may advise prior to giving up on it.

I receive this item in the mail from Amazon about 1 week ago (about last week of March 2017). My computer is a Lenovo ThinkPad laptop with Intel i5 processer, 8GB ram, 256GB SSD, running Windows 10 home. My storage devices are the mix of 2.5" SATA hard drive in enclosure with USB connector, USB portable drives, and flash drives. I make certain that hub’s power connection as well as all usb connection are secured. If I had to power the whole set up down, I always restart from disconnect all power and usb cables, power up hub first, connect hub usb to laptop’s usb 3.0 port, wait for notification on Windows, then reconnect device to each port one-at-a-time.

I look forward to hear further advise that would have solved my issue. Thank you.
