USB 3.0 does not immediately show second display, but does eventually

Hi,

My problem is that when my PC goes into sleep mode the second monitor does not seem get a signal even though the PC seems to think that there are two displays. Thus anything that is on screen 2 is invisible but the system thinks it is there. And then, some random event will “wake up” the screen and voila it works. Until it wakes up I cannot access the stuff that is on screen 2 unless I am lucky enough to grab it and drag it over to screen 1.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Bob

Hi Bob,

Thanks for reaching out to us, I am sorry this is not working as expected.

I would like to start by finding out some information about your system and setup in order to help narrow down the issue, if you would please let me know:

  1. How is the second screen connected to the computer ( Plugable part numbers are normally on the bottom of the devices, additional cables etc )?
  2. Does this only happen after the system has been in sleep mode, or does this also happen when the computer has been restarted?
  3. What is the manufacturer name and model number of the second display ( the problematic display )?

Thank you,

Pat

Hi Bob,

Thank you for providing the additional details. Unfortunately, we only support Plugable products. The USB 3.0 graphics adapter you have is by a company called Liztek, here is a link to their product page ( http://www.liztek.com/product/usb-3-0… ). I recommend contacting the Liztek support team here ( www.liztek.com/contact-us/ ).

I am sorry there is nothing else I can do for you in regards to this issue.
