usb 3.0 card crashing win7 pro

Hi. I’ve had a Plugable usb 3.0 i/o card in my win7 home system for over
4 years. Recently bought a new Dell Optiplex 3040 with win7 pro and transferred the card to it.

Card seems to work fine, yet system crashes bcc124 code blue screen every 4-5 hours.

Happened for days. Removed the Usb 3.0 card, and system is fine. Could this be a compatability issue?

Thanks for posting. Very unusual behavior here.

Based on what you’ve described there’s some type of compatibility issue with the new machine (or perhaps the card failed during the swap?).

Is your previous Win 7 system still up and running to test and confirm whether it still behaves properly in that box?

Also, it will be good to know which driver version is being used on each system so we can confirm it’s the latest.

Assuming the card still behaves as expected in your original system and drivers are up to date, we might want to see which BIOS options are available that could impact this.
