USB 2.0 10 Port gives error message on Windows 10

I’ve been using this adapter for years with nary a problem. Just installed it on brand-new Dell 5720 All-in-One running Windows 10 for Workstations and it still seems to work perfectly, but Windows targets it as an unknown device that needs a driver. Perhaps I’m being obsessive, but I’d like Windows to be comfy with the hub.

If windows is flagging something as an unknown device, then it shouldn’t be working at all. An unknown device error is either a device that couldn’t be matched up to a driver, or a device that isn’t identifiable and isn’t assigned a driver.
