I have the 7 port usb 2.0 hub with wall power adapter. When I plug in my 160gb Verbatim external hard drive, the speeds are around 1.0 mb/s, which is unusable for video streaming. When I plug the same drive directly into the laptop, I get a 30 mb/s transfer rate. Other items plugged into the hub are a standard keyboard, bluetooth transmitter for a mouse, cooling base station with two small fans that sits under the laptop, a logic tech c910 webcam and a Presonus audiobox 22 vsl. This is frustrating. Why would the hub give usb 1.1 speeds?
