UD-5900 monitor not working

I have a UD-5900 and the dvi monitor out is not working. I also hooked up a UGS-3000 and it isn’t working either even though the blue light is on. Tried moving to different ports but still nothing.

We worked with Allison via our private email ticketing system to resolve this issue.

Posting the clean installation steps that resolved the issue below:

Since there isn’t video output from the UD-5900 as well as the UGA-3000, we’ll want to focus on clean installation of the DisplayLink drivers to make sure they’re in a good state. We’ll do all of the following with the dock and adapter disconnected from the system until prompted to plug back in (power and USB).

  1. Disconnect the dock (and UGA-3000) from the system and please remove the power cable from the dock so it turns off completely. Please keep it disconnected until the last step.

  2. Uninstall the DisplayLink Core software from the Control Panel -> Programs and Features. Don’t worry if this fails, just move onto the next step

  3. Download, extract and run the DisplayLink cleaner tool, found here –> https://s3.amazonaws.com/plugable/bin… (video walk-through -> https://youtu.be/AcVV1gD_FvI)

  4. Once the Cleaner has been run, reboot (even if not prompted to)

  5. Now download and install the 7.9 M5 DisplayLink software, found here –> https://s3.amazonaws.com/plugable/bin…

  6. Reattach the power cable to the dock first. Once the dock is powered on, reconnect it to your system when prompted to do so by the installation program. You can also reattach the UGA-3000 at this point.
