two monitors showing same image. Monitors not detected

-Dell XPS with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 with 4GB
-Two Asus VS228H monitors.
-Pluggable UD-3900

One monitor is plugged in to Dock via HDMI, one by DP.

Both monitors are showing the same image. The settings says the system does not detect any external monitors at all.

I’ve tried reinstalling the software already.

What next? Please help.
Thx
Larry

Hi Larry,

Thanks for posting. Let’s try a clean installation to make sure the drivers are in a good state. To do so:

  1. Disconnect your docking station and the dock’s power adapter. We will keep it disconnected until the last step.

  2. Uninstall any and all software with ‘DisplayLink’ in the title that is present from within the Control Panel -> Programs and Features. Don’t worry if these entries are not present or if the process does not work, just move onto the next step

  3. Download and run the DisplayLink Installation Cleaner from:
    https://s3.amazonaws.com/plugable/bin…

  4. Reboot the system, even if not prompted

  5. Download and install the latest DisplayLink 8.4M0 driver from: http://www.displaylink.com/downloads/…

  6. Reconnect your docking station (power first, then USB) and we’ll see if the displays are working as they should.

Please let me know how things work after the above and we can go from there.

Thanks!

Thanks, I tried this before I posted.
I figured out I needed to change some display settings.
