Surface Pro 3 at 4K@60hz with Plugable mini displayport HDMI adapter

Anybody successfully output 4K @ 60hz on a Surface Pro 3 with the Plugable mini displayport to HDMI 2.0 active adapter? I can only achieve custom 4K resolutions up to 38hz before getting “The custom resolution exceeds the maximum bandwidth capacity” from the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel. On my Cable Matters adapter I can get up to 4K @ 50hz.

Update —

We worked with Jerry via a support ticket. This was determined to be a faulty adapter and was resolved with a tested replacement unit.

Thanks Andy for your excellent customer service in sending a replacement adapter. Love the build quality, much better (stiffer metal bracket). The Cable Matters adapter flexes a bit too much causing the connection to wear (wiggle) after inserted / removed frequently.
