Pluggable USB-C Making External Screen from Macbook Pro Blink

I just got a new docking station and once I installed the driver (Displaylink 4.1.11) for it my screen keeps blinking. Is there a fix for this?

I’m connecting to an HP ZDisplay monitor via HDMI. I’m using a Macbook Pro with High Sierra 10.13.4.

I’ve tried multiple different HDMI cables as well.

Lil help?

Hello Nate, thanks for posting and I will be happy to help.

Our UD-CA1A docking station that is pictured does not require the DisplayLink drivers. Does uninstalling them from your system help stabilize the connection to the monitor? We have a brief guide here –> https://plugable.com/drivers/displayl… with these instructions, if needed.

Yep looks like that did the trick. Thanks

Actually it’s still blinking. Less frequently, but still blinking.

Hello Nate, thanks for the replies and sorry to hear that the blinking is still occurring. If possible, does it occur with a different HDMI monitor? Understood if another is not available for testing, however.

Does preforming an SMC or NVRAM reset on your MacBook Pro helps resolve this issue? Apple has guides here –> https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295 and here –> https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063 for resetting these respectively.

Thank you,
