Playstation 4 Controller Connects to USB Bluetooth 4.0 LE Dongle, then Disconnects.

Using the Bluetooth 4.0 LE Dongle, I mainly got it to use for my PlayStation 4 Controller. I connect it and it works, but when Windows said Controller Connected, the light on the PS4 Controller is gone, and shortly after the connection is lost. I try again, and the same result is presented. The Dongle does work, I tried it with my phone on the same distance, and the Controller has been charged.

I use Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit.

Hi Griff,

Thank you for your post! I’m sorry to hear you are experiencing connection difficulties with the Plugable Bluetooth adapter and your PlayStation 4 controller.

Officially, we don’t support the PlayStation 3 or 4 controllers because they do not follow Bluetooth specifications and require Third Party software to operate. But, we can troubleshoot to ensure that the adapter is not defective, but we cannot troubleshoot the actual connection process and stability with the controller.

• You mentioned that you tried your phone at the same distance. What was that distance and was it successful?

• Do the connection issues persist when you are close to the adapter? If not, this could potentially be a radio/signal interference issue.

Thank you,
