Peripheral Driver

So, I have downloaded (and re-downloaded) the software for the plugable USB dongle adapter for blue-tooth 4.0 LE. It says it downloaded correctly, but when I go to connect to anything it says I’m missing the blue-tooth peripheral adapter. I would really like to be able to use this product, because I have been on multiple forums, and tinkering with it for days. Thanks for reading.

Hi Blake,

Thank you for contacting us about your Bluetooth adapter.

Could you run our diagnostic program? It will help me understand what is going on.

Please plug the adapter into your computer, then go to this page, and follow the instructions there:

http://plugable.com/support/plugdebug

When you run the program, it will create a zip file on your desktop with your computer name and the date. Please send that file directly to our support email support@plugable.com

Please put “For Ticket #132116” in the subject line.

Thank you,

David

The mouse wasn’t working because it was a Bluetooth 4.0 (Bluetooth Low Energy) mouse and the computer had Windows 7. Unfortunately, Windows 7 can’t support Bluetooth 4.0 even if its Bluetooth adapter (like ours) can support it. This is because the Bluetooth software in Windows 7 does not have the necessary drivers for Bluetooth 4.0.
