New Dell monitor connected in place of old is not recognized

I had my Plugable USB 3.0 docking station working with two monitors, one a Viewsonic with a DVI interface (connected to the DVI port connection on the Plugable) and a Samsung with an HDMI interface connected using the HDMI port on the Plugable).

The old Viewsonic monitor died and I got a new Dell to replace it. It only has an HDMI port, so I’m using a DVI to HDMI adapter cable. The monitor connection works; I see the desktop on all three locations (laptop, New Dell, and Samsung monitors), but Windows OS only identifies 1 and 3 (the old Viewsonic was identified as “2”). I would like to work with extended windows desktop on monitors 2 and 3.

I have tried rebooting, reloading drivers for Plugable, and the new Dell, but nothing has worked.

Any ideas appreciated.
