Is it advisable to let the device ON(plugged in) all the time like modem or to switch off when laptop is shutdown or sleep. what is recommended for reliability or durability.

Thanks for posting! Yes, keeping the dock powered on at all times is a commonly used setup and a large majority of our customers do not ever power off their docks. Even all of us here at Plugable keep our docks powered all the time! There shouldn’t be a need to power off the docking station completely, and your workflow will be more convenient when it’s always powered on.
