It was working, now it's not

I recently had to restore my macbook pro 2016. I had 2 external monitors attached through my plugable docking station and they were working. Now they are not and I can’t figure out which drivers I need. Can anyone help?

Thank you so much for reaching out to us, I am sorry to hear that you are running into this issue, but I would be more than happy to assist!

Recently, Apple has introduced the 10.13.4 update, and with it they have blocked the support for DisplayLink based devices. Based on the description of your issue, you may be running into this problem, but to confirm, what macOS version did you restore onto the system?

While we hope Apple will restore functionality in a future macOS update, at this point we don’t know what their long term plans are. If Apple does not restore this functionally, it’s unclear if DisplayLink (who makes the chips in and drivers used by many USB docks, including ours) will be able to work around the issue.

For those with an Apple developer ID, DisplayLink suggests reporting the issue to Apple referencing existing bug ID #37385102 to help raise the priority of the issue:

DisplayLink does have a Beta driver which will allow USB-attached monitors to work in “Clone” mode, with limited functionality:
