Interchangeable Power Adapters?

Is it possible to use the 60W power adapter from the USB 3.0 7-Port Charging Hub, with the USB 3.0 10-Port Hub (which ships with a 48W adapter) or the USB 3.0 7-Port Hub with 2 BC 1.2 Charging Ports (which ships with a 36W adapter)? They all use 12V, just with a different amperage. Will the higher wattage burn the hub out? Or will it just provide more power to the ports?

Hi Kasper,

Thank you so much for reaching out to us, I would be more than happy to answer your questions!

While they do have similar 12V abilities the barrel size and wattage difference will make the hub either experience issues enumerating, but also could cause damage to the hub itself. We do not advice utilizing alternate AC Adapters on any of our hubs in order to ensure that everything performs as it should.

I hope this information helps, please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns, and I would be more than happy to help.

Thank you for your patience,

Hey all, sorry for the late response, and thanks for the advice. I will be sure to play it safe and use only the original power adapters with any hubs I buy. All the best!
