Incompatible Devices?

my Sony mdr-zx Bluetooth headphones are not seen by the Bluetooth 4.0 LE adaptor. My Samsung smart phone is and I can transfer files no problem. My Samsung phone can see and communicate with my Sony headphones. What workaround is available?

Hello Alan,

Thank you for your message.

One of the first things to try is making sure that the headphones have successfully entered pairing mode according to the instructions. https://docs.sony.com/release//MDRZX7…

Sometimes, if you have the headphones already paired with another device, they will simply reconnect to a previously paired device rather than becoming available for a new pairing. To avoid this, try turning off Bluetooth functionality on phones, tablets, or computers that the headphones have been paired with temporarily while you try to pair through the Plugable Bluetooth adapter.

Let me know if this helps.

Hi Alan,

I hope these steps were helpful for resolving your issue. If not, please feel free to post a reply or contact us at support@plugable.com.

Thanks!

Hello Andy, I am having this same issue.

I have not paired the headset to any other devices. In Windows 10, it pairs successfully, and then immediately says “Driver unavailable”. I understand you have custom drivers supporting Beats and Bose, but do you have these available for Sony as well? This is very frustrating. Thank you for your help in advance!

Please advise!

Greetings Andy! I hope this finds you well. Has this issue been raised by others? just wondering if you have a resolution for this. Thank you very much!
