So is this microscope android comparable? I want to use it with my galaxy note 10.1 to help me solder on the worksite.

I did just experimented with this over the last hour or so. The problem I’m having is getting proper software/drivers to see the camera. So while it’s a possibility, it’s not something that we can support. None of the standard USB webcam apps I found on the play store would work with the camera over an OTG cable.
The only way to get this to work would be with a custom driver on a rooted device. This is well beyond the scope of most users. If you are the type of person that wants to try this out, by all means, let us know how it does. I personally would love to see the microscope work on an android phone. I had already been thinking about getting a raspberry pi looked to a mini display and experiment there.

I did try that app and about 5 others, including ones not on the play store, in my testing. None would show any image from the camera, unfortunately.

I have a Samsung Note 3 I would like to be able to plug the microscope into and have it work as an external camera. Did anyone have any luck in the last year? This would be an awesome app if someone with the knowledge and abilities to write an app and driver to make this Android OS and the microscope compatible…

I have continued experiments with this to no avail. The latest app I tried that seems to have the most compatibility with webcams is CameraFi, but it still doesn’t work with the chipset in our device.
