Brand new plugable USB 3.0 extender. Constant high CPU usage. of Process “DisplayLinkManager.exe” w/ 38 Threads.

Thanks for getting in contact with us. I’d be more than happy to help you with your Plugable display product. In order to better assist you, I’ll need a bit of additional information in order to be able to determine what is causing the high CPU usage.
Could you please provide the logs produced by our tool Plugdebug, you can find it here and then send them to me at support@plugable.com.

Once we have those logs, we’ll start trying to figure out what exactly is going on with your setup.
In general, it is not uncommon to see higher CPU usage when using USB displays as these devices are virtual displays where the rendering is performed by the computer, however the average utilization you provided does seem unusually high.
