Have to Uninstall/reinstall driver every time I come back from the office ?

I installed the 8.4 display-link SW as instructed, and it all worked fine - for one evening. Then I went to my office, where my laptop sits in a dedicated docking station.
I connected to the D-3900 - and while the keyboard and mouse work fine, the HDMI-Connected monitor shows nothing, and windows can’t detect it.

Rebooting does not help.

Install version 8.5 of Display Link SW - works for one evening, does not work when I come back from a day at the office. (again - Keyboard & Mouse do work)

Uninstall 8.5, re-install 8,4 - again works, but again only for one evening.

So - do I really have to uninstall/reinstall the driver every evening?

As it stands, my UD-3900 is a docking station for one evening - and then (at Midnight?) transforms into a pumpki… Ahem. A USB Hub.

Help, please.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for reaching out to us, I am sorry this is not working as expected.

Based on your description of the behavior, our first step is to get some additional information from your system.

If you would, please keep the dock connected and both monitors attached and send us the output of our diagnostic utility PlugDebug ( http://plugable.com/support/plugdebug ) as this will allow us to examine some log files from your system to help determine the next steps. Please run this test when the system is failing to detect the monitors correctly.

Please send an email to support@plugable.com with the PlugDebug zip file attached, please use the subject line “Ticket #222628 - Attention Pat”

Thanks,
