i bought the plugable usb 3 i/o card- doesnt fit int the pmcia slot of my computer-toshiba satelliteu205.should i return the product or do you have an adapter for it

Thanks for contacting us! Yes, unfortunately, the Toshiba Satellite U205 has an older CardBus slot, which is not compatible with the newer (and faster) ExpressCard standard. To support a USB 3.0 host controller, the performance and characteristics of the newer ExpressCard are required. So unfortunately, I don’t think there will be a way to upgrade this laptop to USB 3.0.
