Clicking the Install button at the System Check during installation exits the installer?

I’m trying to install drivers for my UD-3900 on a Windows 10 machine. First time installation, no prior drivers present. Below are the steps I am following:

  1. Double click DisplayLink+USB+Graphics+Software+for+Windows+8.2+M3.exe
  2. Click Accept (License Agreement).
  3. Observe message “DisplayLink System Compatibility Check has successfully passed and installation can continue” and click Install.
  4. Immediately get prompt “Are you sure you want to cancel DisplayLink Core Software Installation?”

5a) Click No. (Goes back to Step 3 in an infinite loop)
5b) Click Yes. (Exits installer)

Hi B,

Thank you so much for reaching out to us. It looks as if you contacted us via direct email, and we sent a response over advising you that we do not have access to the driver in a .inf format, and that you are most likely experiencing this issue due to specific permissions set up by your companies IT department. DisplayLink drivers required full admin privileges in order to install.

Just to make sure we are not dealing with an error specifically related to the DisplayLink version, can you attempt to download and install the 8.2 M2 driver, and see if the same error occurs?

Thank you for your time,
