Can you use UD 3900 in a horizontal position?

I would like to use the UD3900 in a horizontal position. Does the base plate come off and would that be ok?

Hello Terri,

Thank you for posting! While it is possible to unscrew the base plate of the UD-3900 and lay vertically, but there are some issues. The dock is rounded so it would not sit flat, which might cause it to move and disconnect cables accidentally. There are also vents on the side that could become blocked. So it is possible to lay vertically, but we don’t recommend it.
