Bose QC as headset

QC 30 Bose headphones don’t work very well as a headset unit; and I heard its because Windows bluetooth technology. with this said, a USB, bluetooth adapter will bypass this and make this units a better headset unit?

Hello Juan,

Thank you for contacting us.

Bluetooth has two primary audio modes. A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) and HSP/HFP (Headset Profile/Hands-Free Profile).

A2DP allows for high-quality stereo audio playback, but does not accept microphone input.

HFP/HSP provides microphone input at the cost of lowering audio quality and limiting output to monaural sound.

These are limitations of Bluetooth technology, not specifically Windows or any other operating system. The Plugable Bluetooth adapter will do nothing to improve audio quality over other Bluetooth adapters.

I hope this helps. If you have additional questions or concerns, please contact us at support@plugable.com and we’ll be happy to help.

Thanks!
